See all the best of Kachemak Bay State Park in one day. Take a scenic flight over Grewingk Glacier, get dropped off at China Poot Lake, or Leisure Lake, as the locals call it, in the heart of Kachemak Bay State Park, at the foot of Poot Peak. There is a public-use cabin on this lake, and if you would like to make this an overnight trip, check availability here. Hike 3 miles of beautiful park trail (China Poot Lake trail) to the Halibut Cove Lagoon ranger station, where you will be picked up by a water taxi for a scenic boat ride through the lagoon channel and back across Kachemak Bay to Homer while you look for marine wildlife. This combines a scenic flight, a fun boat ride, and an adventurous hike. A great day on the bay.

*If you are looking for more time in the park, just ask; we are happy to customize a trip that works for you.

KACHEMAK BAY STATE PARK HAS SOME AMAZING HIKES RIGHT ACROSS THE BAY FROM HOMER AND, IN COMBINATION WITH ATB WATER TAXI, WE OFFER ROUND TRIP SERVICE TO GIVE YOU ACCESS TO THE BACK COUNTRY.
